Run

I like running. I guess traveling to the other side of the planet to run 26.2 miles proves that.

Where life takes you

I’m amazed where running has got me. Like to Chinatown on Saturday morning to eat a freshly made bbq pork bun, Oak Street beach in the winter, the end of Navy Pier on a random week night, Lincoln park zoo and techno structure. Most amazing to me are the distances. From a 11 mile random night run in the dead of winter to 15 in the heat if summer. Of course the 26.2 miles of each marathon I’ve ran are pretty awesome. Running Tokyo was awesome an I am on the verge of doing it again…

I would run 5000 miles…

p…and I would run 5000 more. Honestly, I really started this whole running thing because of a girl. All the running helps clear the mind. On the 9th mile I’m usually just wanting to get home. Today I hit 20 miles. You can say I had a lot on my mind. It’s something bigger than one person. I will thank her one day. For now, dream big and accomplish even bigger./p

Run for Anti-Cruelty Society

On October 9th, 2011 I will be RAN the 2011 Chicago Marathon. Unlike previous marathons, this one I RAN to help the Chicago Anti Cruelty Society. I know my family and a few friends have adopted their loved pets from the Chicago Anti Cruelty Society. I could have chosen other charities, but this one hits home with me because here’s where my family got Giant, our chihuahua, who was with us from 1987-1999.

Although the marathon is over, the puppies and kitties can always use help…

Thankew! Love & Respect,

It is official…

Broke the 4800 mile mark on Nike +. I will admit that I’m glad I got the Nike+ sports band as it has kept track of my miles from May 2008 to Dec 2012. The only time The worse thing that happened is from mid-December 2008 to July 2009 I did not keep track of my miles because my first generation Nike+ sports band. died and the were in the process of bringing out version 2.  Many miles were not counted and I could have easily stopped using the sports band. Thankfully I didn’t when I recieved the new version. I am proud to say that I have 4 marathons in those miles and one of them in Japan. It may not seem like much, but I’ve gone from a 10min mile down to 9:15min mile. Some days it can be 8:5min a mile. Distances  wise, still 26.2… but maybe I’ll break it when the weather gets warmer.  I would like to get a fifthor even 6th marathon in 2012. We will see. For now I keep running. Not because I want to, but because I have too. It’s has become part of me. 6000 in 2012.

Wants – Vans

Vans – Model Unknown

I'm not sure about the model, but this was a photo that I took at Asbee Shoe in Shibuya earlier this year. As soon as I snapped it an employee said that I wasn't allowed to take photos. Damn shame too as there were so many Japan only models of Vans, New Balances as well as other brands. One day…very soon. I will be back and blowing unnecessary amounts of dough in the TKO.

THANK YOU!

Thank you all who helped out! This marathon was for Giant, a chihuahua that was part of my family from 1987 to 1998. He would go nuts when he would hear Nocera's Summertime Summertime and so needless to say I got choked up when it was playing during my run.Thank you all who helped out!
