So upon looking at my old Reason files, I found a track that I started back in 2009, but never quite finished. I ended up finishing it. It’s the first song in this mix. I might go back and really fix it up.

DJ Phil Free Art – Special Dedication

This is a mix that I did for all my friends as well as all of those who have helped make my DJ "career" so enjoyable. It's true that many out there know me as a happy hardcore DJ. I'm more than okay with that. At that same time, I also had a few people kow me for playing a pretty decent old school jungle/drum and bass set. Sadly, a good deal of those records are now gone thanks to a thief that broke into my car. Still others know me for dropping a gabber set. These genres as well as other genres are not a tyle of music that I play to get gigs. These are genres of music that I lve. I come from a time when DJ's dropped $10 for a record that might only contain that one track. I know there are many out there that can know what I mean and have also dropped a great deal of money on music. It is the passion and love for the music that we all have. I have meet these people and so many of themI not only call my friends, but my influences.

I'll be honest and say that I've really never put out a professional mix tape/CD. I am blessed that I was able to get the music that I love to the people through tapes that were dubbed and passed along from one person to another. I'm also blessed that I had a chance to play to so many people.

I am so lucky to meet so many people through the years of going to underground events and acting the fool on so many evenings. I'd love to name each and every one of you. So if your name has a vowel, this mix is for you. MC Gene…this mix is for you too. OCEAN OF HANDS!!
